چکیده

This paper deals with the problem of designing a strategy profile which will enable collaborative interaction between agents. In particular, we consider the problem of information sharing among agents. Providing information in a single interaction as a response to queries is often nonbeneficial. But there are stable strategy profiles that make sharing information beneficial in the long run. This paper presents these types of mechanisms and specifies under which conditions it is beneficial to the agents to answer queries. We analyze a model of repeated encounters in which two agents ask each other queries over time. We present different strategies that enable information exchange, and compare them according to the expected utility for the agents, and the conditions required for the cooperative equilibrium to exist.  2003 Elsevier B.V. Stable Strategies for Sharing Information among Agents

Information sharing is important for different goals, such as sharing reputations of sellers among potential buyers, load balancing, solving technical problems, etc. In the short run, providing information as a response to queries is often unbene cial. In the long run, mechanisms that enable bene cial stable strategies for information exchange can be found. This paper presents such mechanisms a...

Control of group of mobile autonomous agents via local strategies

This paper considers the formation control problem of multi-agent systems in a distributed fashion. Two cases of the information propagating topologies among multiple agents, characterized by graphics model, are considered. One is fixed topology. The other is switching topology which represents the limited and less reliable information exchange. The local formation control strategies establishe...

Strategic Negotiation for Sharing a Resource Between two Agents

In this paper, we propose a strategic-negotiation model which enables self-motivated rational agents to share resources. The strategic-negotiation model takes the passage of time during the negotiation process itself into account. The model considers bilateral negotiations in situations characterized by complete information, in which one agent loses over time while the other gains over time. Us...

A Persuasion Dialog for Gaining Access to Information

This paper presents a formal protocol for agents engaged in argumentation over access to information sources. Obtaining relevant information is essential for agents engaged in autonomous, goal-directed behavior, but access to such information is usually controlled by other autonomous agents having their own goals. Because these various goals may be in conflict with one another, rational interac...

Finding an Evolutionarily Stable Strategy in Agent Reputation and Trust (ART) 2007 Competition

Our proposal is to apply a Game Theoretic approach to the games played in Agent Reputation and Trust Final Competitions. Using such testbed, three international competitions were successfully carried out jointly with the last AAMAS international Conferences. The corresponding way to define the winner of such competitions was to run a game with all the participants (16). Our point is that such g...
